Melissa's Bridal Shower at Friend of a Farmer
On the surface level, bridal showers can seem like just an excuse to get a bunch of girls together to giggle and share gifts, but to me, they're so much more than that. It's a way for your closest girlfriends to show you their love and wish you well as you head into a new, very important stage of life. We recently had the chance to peek into Melissa's bridal shower–which yes, included a lot of giggling–but was also an event full of warmth and celebration. It took place at Friend of a Farmer, a wildly popular brunch spot in the Gramercy area–we're talking about lines out the door! Friend of a Farmer makes you feel like you've stepped out of Manhattan and into the country, with it's farmhouse décor and delicious food that reminds you of good-old home-cooking.
We borrowed this great idea from Mika78: touching and personal fill-in-the-blank notes that each friend wrote to Melissa.
The blushing bride-to-be!
Fourteen-Forty designed whimsical signs that incorporated phrases like "Friends Forever," "Besties," and "Bridesmaids" for some photo-taking fun. These will be up in the store soon!
We were won-over by the rustic and beautiful wallpaper along with old-timey objects that were placed all over the room.
Thanks so much for letting us be part of your special day, Melissa!
